Epistle Writing Prize
An annual initiative by Epistle to nurture critical writing in architecture and design, fostering new voices in the built environment.
The Epistle Writing Prize is an annual competition dedicated to recognising outstanding writing on design, architecture and environment. Celebrating the power of the written word, participants are invited to inform, intrigue or persuade readers by presenting novel arguments or interesting narratives on the built environment.
Stemming from Epistle’s mission to democratise architectural discourse, the prize seeks to highlight compelling voices and stories from the Global South, bringing attention to previously unheard perspectives.
- Open to students and emerging practitioners across design disciplines.
- Invites original essays, reflections, and criticism that challenge the status quo.
- Continues Tanya Khanna’s mission to democratize architectural discourse through Epistle Academy.
